sourdough mushroom toast

SERVING SIZE: 6 pieces of toast

INGREDIENTS:

  • Whole wheat sourdough bread (or your bread of choice)

  • 1 package of sliced mushrooms

  • 2 garlic cloves grated

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt, pepper & red pepper chilli flakes

  • Goat’s cheese

  • 1 handful of fresh basil leaves

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Add the grated garlic and olive oil to a pan on low-medium heat

  • Chop mushrooms and basil leaves into small pieces and cut the bread into half slices

  • When the garlic is slightly cooked, add the mushrooms, salt, pepper and chilli flakes to the pan

  • Brush olive oil on your bread slices and broil them in the oven on low for a few minutes until they turn golden brown

  • Once the mushrooms are fully cooked, add them to the toast and top with goat’s cheese and fresh basil

  • Serve & enjoy!
